In line with the Pause Exhibition in the Main Gallery presented by Art Aviso, they are running button theme workshops.
You will learn to create a simple design. They have gathered buttons from across the decades as well as some shiny new ones so that you can colour your design with an array of buttons. You will transfer your design to your tote bag and teach you the tips and tricks of gluing buttons. After a crash course in embroidery, sew on your remaining buttons and embellish your design with embroidery floss.
Learn to use colour and texture of the buttons to create depth and interest in your design, tips and tricks as well as go to products to make sure everything stays put, basic embroidery stitches and button attachment patterns to create embellishments as well as a fabulous day out full of laughter, fun, and a delicious lunch.
Included is lunch created from all local organic produce and can cater for any dietary requirements. Also provided is afternoon tea and coffee facilities are available throughout the course.
